Elderberry

Elderberry: Bold Color, Beautiful Blooms

Black Elderberry is an eye-catching shrub, bringing rich purple-black foliage that stays vibrant from spring through fall. It creates a striking contrast with green, silver, and colorful flowering plants. In early summer, oversized clusters of fragrant pink blooms emerge, filling the garden with a light, sweet anise scent and adding another layer of seasonal beauty.

Beyond its dramatic appearance, Black is a tough, adaptable shrub that thrives in a wide range of soil conditions. Plant it as a standout specimen, use it in mixed borders, or create a colorful privacy screen. It also produces edible berries when planted near a compatible pollinator such as Elderberry.
