Bubba Jones Desert Willow Tree

If you want a tree that brings color without demanding care, the Bubba Jones Desert Willow fits the bill. This Chilopsis linearis hybrid blends sleek, glossy foliage with showy, fragrant flowers to create a tall, elegant tree that puts on a stunning display all season long. Its orchid-like flowers arrive in clusters, shifting between soft pink, deep wine, or a mix of both—each bloom finished with yellow highlights and gently ruffled edges.

Reaching a majestic 20–25 feet, this nearly seedless tree grows into a striking focal point that’s as resilient as it is beautiful and is built for tough conditions, thriving in heat, and handling dry spells with ease. It’s a natural fit for open landscapes, streetside plantings, or sunny patio areas where space allows it to stretch. While young plants can be started in large containers, the Desert Willow performs best when planted in the ground, where its roots can spread and support its full potential height.
